Hole 1

A true test of accuracy straight off the 1st tee box measuring 449m off the championship tee. Your first drive has to be accurate as the water looms on the left hand side of the fairway and the veld grass on the right. Once you have positioned your ball safely in the fairway you still have a difficult approach into the well bunkered and undulating green. Make 4 here and your round is underway.

Hole 2

A short par 4 played straight uphill is next on the agenda. Once again you need to be accurate off the tee which will leave you 130m approach into this undulating green. Always remember to take one extra club as it is severely uphill. Definitely a hole where par must be made.

Hole 3

Also a short par 4 played downhill which provides you with an excellent opportunity for a birdie. Keep your tee shot on the right hand side of the fairway and a short pitch to the green will set the birdie up.

Hole 4

Graceland Golf Course Hole 4 layout

This is regarded as the feature hole at Graceland. Despite being a short par 5, accuracy and course management is imperative. The tee shot for the average golfer will be with a 3 wood to the left half of the fairway. Your second shot is a daunting one as there are two streams which need to be carried. The correct way would be to lay up just short of the second stream leaving 150m to the green. For the longer hitter you can go for it in two but the dam all the down the right hand side is intimidating and the well bunkered green is a challenging and undulating one. Make par here and you have gained a few shots on the field.

Hole 5

Graceland Golf Course Hole 5 layout

This is a short par 4 and is truly a birdie hole. Keep your tee shot left of the fairway bunker and you will have a short iron into the green. The green is well bunkered but this is definitely a birdie opportunity.

Hole 6

The severe tough on the left hand side demands the most accurate tee shot. From here you will be looking at a 150m shot into a kidney shaped green which is protected by a large bunker and a water hazard. Make four here and you have picked up a few shots on the field.

Hole 8

Graceland Golf Course Hole 5 layout

A good test of course management is required here. For the average golfer this is a three shot par 5. There are 3 pot bunkers to contend with from your tee shot and a stream for your second shot. The green is one of the most demanding on the course and you need the touch of a pick pocket to ensure par here.

In order to make birdie your approach must be to an exacting length as the green is 43m from the front to the back.

Hole 15

Graceland Golf Course Hole 15 layout

Again a gem of a par 3. If the pin is located on the right hand side you need to carry the water all they way down. Again this is a large and undulating green and missing your tee shot on the wrong side will certainly bring a 3 putt bogey into play.

Hole 16

Graceland Golf Course Hole 16 layout
